Indigo Rye Training Academy

Since we first opened the salon doors back in 1998, our team of Apprentices have been the backbone of the business helping to ensure that the salon runs smoothly. More importantly however is that we help them to develop their skills and become the next generation of talent to grace our team, whether that is specialising in colour of cutting.

Gail heads up our Training Academy and has been for over 20 years now! So in her own words, she explains why she is still so passionate about delivering first class training for our team.

“The main reason I love training the team is that I found my own training journey really challenging and didn’t ever believe I would be good enough to qualify.

So I really understand how much support the trainees need to achieve their goals and I feel immense pride when they achieve the high standards we set for them! It is a step by step, rocky road for most but I never stop believing they can reach the standards set for them”

The team take professional qualifications to obtain Level 2 and 3 NVQ’s and all theory work is done on a one to one basis in the salon to ensure the team is fully supported and guided through the processes.

We are always looking for models, so if you are interested, please get in touch – training days are:

Wallingford – Monday afternoons from 3pm
Caversham – Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm

Price Rise

We have always been committed to and pride ourselves on providing our clients the best service, quality products and an experience to make you feel the absolute best. For this we need to ensure we have a full team of support across our apprentices. Due to rising wage costs following the latest government budget that has burdened our business enormously, we have had to make the difficult decision to increase our prices slightly with effect from 14th April. I can assure you this is not a profiteering exercise, instead this is to ensure we continue to deliver the high standards you deserve and continue to recruit and train our next generation of talent on our apprenticeship scheme. We will endeavour to maintain these prices for as long as we can and would like to say a huge thank you for all your continued support and loyalty throughout the years and look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
