Since we first opened the salon doors back in 1998, our team of Apprentices have been the backbone of the business helping to ensure that the salon runs smoothly. More importantly however is that we help them to develop their skills and become the next generation of talent to grace our team, whether that is specialising in colour of cutting. Gail heads up our Training Academy and has been for over 20 years now! So in her own words, she explains why she is still so passionate about delivering first class training for our team. “The main reason I love training the team is that I found my own training journey really challenging and didn’t ever believe I would be good enough to qualify. So I really understand how much support the trainees need to achieve their goals and I feel immense pride when they achieve the high standards we set for them! It is a step by step, rocky road for most but I never stop believing they can reach the standards set for them” The team take professional qualifications to obtain Level 2 and 3 NVQ’s and all theory work is done on a one to one basis in the salon to ensure the team is fully supported and guided through the processes.
